Romney Resource Centre employs highly qualified Tutors. Assessors and Verifiers and holds Direct Claims Status (DCS) with OCR for Health & Social Care, Business Administration and Customer Services.

Health & Social Care Level’s 2 & 3

Designed for those Individuals working within the Health & Social Care sector, these qualification helps employees develop a clear understanding of their specific role and responsibilities and how to create a safe and healthy environment for themselves and those they care for.  As well as covering issues such as equality, discrimination and communication skills, it will ensure your employees can deliver an excellent level of care and that their skills and achievements are acknowledged with a national recognised qualification.

The Level 2 qualification is aimed at Care Assistants, Support workers or Key workers while the Level 3 qualification is aimed at those employees within a senior role.  Both qualifications are relevant when working in following areas:

  • Day services
  • Residential settings
  • Community-based
  • Domiciliary services
  • Supported living projects
  • Acute health environments
  • Community and primary care environments
  • Personal assistants employed directly by the individual they support or their families
  • Emerging new types of workers and multidisciplinary health roles crossing traditional service barriers and delivery models

A skills scan will be carried out by an Assessor to ensure that the correct level of qualification is chosen for your job role.  They will also discuss the mandatory and optional units available checking that your current job meets the qualification standards required.

Business Administration Level’s 2 & 3

Business and Administration Level 2 Certificate

This qualification provides evidence of competence of being in a supporting role in an office environment.  In order to achieve the qualification you must complete the four mandatory units and a number of optional units which will be selected at the enrolment session.

The mandatory units are:

  • Work in a business environment
  • Communicate in a business environment
  • Manage own performance in a business environment
  • Improve own performance in a business environment
  • Optional units provide opportunity to show understanding and skills in a variety of areas.

Business and Administration Level 3 Diploma

The Level 3 qualification is aimed at people who currently negotiate, supervise, manage and contribute to the running of an office.  In order to achieve the qualification you must complete the four mandatory units, and a number of optional units which will be selected at the enrolment session.

The mandatory units are:

  • Work in a business environment
  • Communicate in a business environment
  • Manage own performance in a business environment
  • Evaluate and improve own performance in a business environment

There are a wide range of optional units available for both levels, which will allow students to tailor the qualification to their job role.

Customer Services Level 2

The OCR Level 2 Customer Service Certificate provides evidence of competence of being in a customer service role.

It is suitable for candidates who:

  • Whose role is to provide service to customers
  • Who are working in a customer service environment
  • Have particular customer service and administrative job roles

To achieve the qualification candidates must complete two mandatory units and a number of optional units which will be selected with their assessor.

The Mandatory units are:

  • Follow the rules to deliver customer service
  • Communicate using customer service language

There are a wide range of optional units available, which allows you to tailor the qualification to your role, including:

  • Resolve customer service problems
  • Recognise diversity when delivering customer service
  • Develop personal performance through delivering customer service
  • Give your customers a good impression of yourself and your organisation
