ECDL – IT User Skills

Whether you want to enhance job prospects or assist you within your current role in the workplace, these world recognised qualifications promote confidence and efficiency whilst building on existing knowledge and motivating further learning.

The qualifications can be tailored at each level to meet your individual’sneeds.

Level 1 Award

The Level 1 course provides a base foundation in IT for those who are looking for a basic computer qualification.  It is made up of a three units which have all been given a ‘credit value’.  To obtain the Award you will need to complete all three units which together make a total of 9 credits.

Level 2 Certificate

The Level 2 course has been developed to give learners a more flexible approach to gaining their Level 2 qualification.  It is made up of a mandatory unit plus optional units which have all been given a ‘credit value’ and to obtain the Certificate you will need to complete the mandatory unit plus optional units which together make a total of between 16 and 20 credits.  A Flexiqual can be made up of any units from either level; however there are ‘rules of combination’ which must be followed which your tutor will discuss with you.

Qualification certificates are issued by the British Computer Society (BCS) on completion of the course undertaken.

Depending on funding eligibility cost can vary and are therefore available on request.
